These are the rules for using the Athlete Alliance app. Creating an account means you agree to them, and to the Privacy Policy and the Community Guidelines.

Who runs the app

Athlete Alliance is operated by Sterling Sheffield in Delaware, United States. Questions about these terms go to privacy@athletesalliance.net.

Who can use it

You must be 14 or older. We do not allow accounts for anyone under 14. If you are 14 to 17, you may use the app, and a parent or guardian can email us to review or close the account. By creating an account you confirm that you are 14 or older.

We do not verify age with an ID. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 14, we will close it.

Your account

You sign in with an email and password, or with Google or X if you choose those buttons. You are responsible for the password and for what happens on the account. Do not share the account, and do not pretend to be another person.

One person, one account. Coaches, parents, and athletes each use their own.

What the app is

The app is a locker room: profiles, posts, comments, messages, team rooms, Discover, and Athlete Advantage episodes. It is free. We do not take a payment card inside the app.

Coaching, the Combine, and The Huddle, if you buy them, are sold outside this app. Those purchases are not covered by these terms.

The app is a place to talk. It is not medical care, mental-health care, legal advice, or a recruiting guarantee. Podcast episodes are Sterling’s own conversations, not a promise about your season.

What you post

You keep ownership of the posts, photos, and messages you create. You give Athlete Alliance permission to store them and show them to the people the product is built to show them to: other members, for a post, and the people in a thread or a room, for a message. That permission ends when you delete the post or we delete the account, except where a copy was already shared onward by another person, or we have to keep a safety report.

You will not post anything you do not have the right to share. Do not post another person’s private messages or photos without their permission.

Rooms and messages

A team room is shared by the people who open its invite link and join. Do not send a room link to people who should not be in that room. Messages are visible to the people in that conversation. They are not end-to-end encrypted.

Points

Points, streaks, and ranks have no cash value. They cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for money. We can correct a balance that came from a bug or from misuse.

Rules and enforcement

You will follow the Community Guidelines. We can remove a post, close a room, or close an account that breaks them, or that we believe puts an athlete at risk. We can also do that if the law requires it.

Reports are read by Sterling. There is no separate safety department, and we do not promise a response within a set number of hours.

Copyright

If you believe something in the app uses your work without permission, email privacy@athletesalliance.net with:

  • Your name and a way to reach you.
  • What work you own, and where it appears in the app.
  • A statement that you believe the use is not allowed, and that the notice is accurate.

We will review the notice and can remove the material. This inbox is not a registered copyright agent.

Privacy

The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how to delete an account. It is part of this agreement.

Schools

A coach may invite athletes with a room link. Each athlete still creates their own account. We do not accept a school roster of minors by spreadsheet under these terms. A school that needs a signed data agreement has to arrange that separately before sending student information.

The service can change or stop

The app is provided as it is. Features can change, and the app can be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, Athlete Alliance is not liable for lost posts, lost points, or a season decision you made after something you read here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including fraud, or a right a minor cannot give up.

Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, except where the law of your home state says otherwise. You can contact us first at the email above. Either of us may bring a claim in the state or federal courts of Delaware, unless a law where you live requires a different court. We do not require arbitration.

Ending the account

You can ask us to delete the account by emailing privacy@athletesalliance.net from the address on the account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Sections about your content, copyright, liability, and disputes still apply after the account is closed.

Changes

If these terms change, the date at the top changes. If you keep using the app after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the app and ask us to delete the account.
